Senior Software Engineer
As a Senior Software Engineer joining our small team, you will own the infrastructure and tooling that underpin our data Catalog. You will support high quality, consistent, easy-to-use, versioned datasets and a CI/CD pipeline for data preparation. By enabling our scientists to be confident in their data, you’ll help make our reporting reproducible and rigorous.
Requirements

You have multiple years experience in an engineering role

You have experience with one of more of: remote sensing, handling and processing scientific image data (ideally from satellites), and/or manipulating geospatial datasets

You have hands-experience with AWS or GCP

You are comfortable with Python, and are willing to learn new technologies to work with our science team (we also use R extensively)

You are experienced with DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and CI/CD (GitHub Actions)

You are a superb communicator, both written and verbal, and are comfortable collaborating across disciplines. You work to create clarity for others.

You are happy getting your hands dirty outside of your role or comfort zone, if needed
