London, UK, September 1st 2022 —natcap research, Ltd., a leading science and geospatial intelligence company, today announced that Sebastian Leape has been named as Chief Executive Officer. Co-founder Abigail Barker, who has been Chief Executive Officer for the last twelve months, is moving to the newly created role of Director and Chief Commercial Officer. Sebastian's employment with natcap research will commence on Monday September 5th.
Sebastian brings global experience in sustainability and business building, most recently as an Associate Partner in McKinsey & Company's London office. Sebastian has previously served as a Policy Advisor to Rt Hon. Gordon Brown. “Sebastian is the right leader to take natcap research to the next level,” said Kathy Willis, natcap research’s Founder and Director. "Sebastian's experience building new businesses coupled with his track record of helping organisations define and embed ambitious sustainability goals will help natcap research rapidly scale and expand with new international clients" added Julian Metherell, natcap research’s Chair of the Board. “I am incredibly excited to be joining the natcap research team,” said Sebastian Leape. “natcap research has world class technology and scientific expertise with a track record of delivering impact at scale in the UK. Sebastian received a BA Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
